Once upon a time, Optik Paper...

The Oxford brand was born in 1916 when Papeteries Laroche-Joubert presented their best paper and ratified its excellence by giving it the name Oxford. The prestigious brand joined the Hamelin Group in 1982 and created OPTIK PAPER in 1990. With this distinctive brand, Oxford has continued to guarantee excellence while offering superior quality on the market. Today, Oxford has changed its name from OPTIK PAPER to OPTIK PAPER+®, a higher quality paper. OPTIK PAPER+® is a faithful reflection of our DNA: excellence within everyone’s reach.

Outstanding paper...

The qualities of OPTIK PAPER+® are easy tosee and feel, even for non-experts: a paper that ink does not bleed through, ideal whiteness, a soft and silky feel, excellent opacity, high tear resistance and clearly drawn, smudge-free writing.

OXFORD has identified the optimum levels for each of these criteria of quality and thus defined its unique quality standard called OPTIK PAPER. OPTIK PAPER offers an incomparable ‘high definition’ writing experience. The tip of the pen glides over the perfectly smooth page. OPTIK PAPER offers an incomparable ‘high definition’ writing experience because the ink does not bleed excessively in the paper fibres: no blotting effect! Rediscover the pleasure of writing the way you want to write: in all circumstances, whatever pen you use, OPTIK PAPER reproduces your handwriting cleanly and without smudging.

With OPTIK PAPER, the ink doesn’t leak into the fibres of the paper and doesn’t bleed through the page: you can use both sides of the sheet without being bothered by what you’ve written on the back. Its custom whiteness highlights your notes without being too bright to cause eyestrain.

Oxford Optik Paper + Advantages

The evolution to OPTIK PAPER+®: the same, just better.

Oxford has redesigned and improved OPTIK PAPER for an even higher quality paper. Its lighter grammage means that fewer fibres are used for each page, reducing its carbon footprint. And yet this new paper is thicker, making it even better quality. This improvement has been confirmed by blind comparative sensory analysis tests carried out with users of branded stationery, in schools, students and professional environments. These tests showed a clear preference for the new OPTIK PAPER+® generation.
This development has also made it possible to reduce paper supply distances to OXFORD’s production sites, optimising logistics and helping to reduce the environmental footprint of the brand’s products.

More than just a piece of paper.

At Oxford we believe that everyone deserves access to the best tools to succeed and reach their full potential. With OPTIK PAPER+®, you can study, work or do your own personal projects with confidence feeling that you are reaching your full potential.
Our commitment to quality also includes compliance with the highest environmental standards. OPTIK PAPER is systematically produced using wood from sustainably managed forests and PEFC or FSC® certified forestry operations. This is why OXFORD was the first notebook brand to be awarded the European Ecolabel for stationery products. This is credible and independant recognition of OPTIK PAPER’s environmental quality.
